Ich war schon immer ein großer Fruits Basket Fan, daher musste ich mir dieses Buch einfach kaufen. Und ich wurde definitiv nicht enttäuscht! Es geht um die Kinder der Charaktere aus Fruits Basket und es ist total interessant zu sehen, wie sie alle so sind. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Band!
The translation is much better than previous licensed version. The new drawings and pieces of information shared by the author in this new edition are nutrition for a fan's soul. Better quality of paper would have been good, of course, but overall it's a great present to all fans of Natsuki Takaya's works.
Toru hat keine Eltern mehr und lebt während das Haus ihres Großvaters renoviert wird in einem Zelt. Ausgerechnet Yuki Soma, der Schulprinz und Schwarm unzähliger Mädchen, sowie sein Cousin Shigure Soma finden dies heraus und laden Toru ein, solange in ihrem Haus zu wohnen. Toru entdeckt, dass 12 der Somas ein Geheimnis haben, in bestimmten Situationen verwandeln sie sich in das Tier ihres chinesischen Tierkreiszeichens. Doch es gibt noch ein dreizehnetes Tierkreiszeichen: die Katze, der Vertreter Kyo von den andern nicht anerkannt wird und der, obwohl er und Yuki Feinde sind, von nun an mit den Soma Cousins und Toru unter einem Dach leben soll.Natsuki Takaya hat vielleicht nicht die riesigste Begabung, vielleicht ist sie nicht die allergrösste Mangazeichnerin, doch Fruits Basket hat seinen großen Erfolg durchaus verdient. Die Geschichte, die sich sehr langsam entwickelt, aber doch von Anfang an bannt, ist einfach süß. Obwohl Toru eigentlich gar nicht meine Sorte Heldin ist (ich stehe mehr auf reifere Heldinnen, die auch mal Kontra geben), sieht man ihre manches nach. Trotz ihrer Niedlichkeit hat sie auch Tiefgang. Auch die männlichen Charaktere sind gelungen, nicht nur schöne Gesichter, sondern mit Wiedererkennungswert und Persönlichkeit dargestellt. Ein schöner Manga, der mit seiner verhaltenen und eher schüchternen Romantik und dem Schulmädchen-Thema auch für jüngere Mädchen geeignet ist.
